Project Happy {Year 4}: Days 111-120

A rather late edition of #projecthappy from me this week.  I’m normally pretty good at sticking to my schedule and posting every ten days, but sometimes life just gets in the way and last week was yet another example of that.  It seems like we’ve had a lot of reminders recently.  I’m learning to roll with it and let go of the need to do everything exactly as I originally planned it.  It’s actually quite refreshing – there’s less pressure, stuff still gets done, and I definitely have a lot more enjoyment along the way.

Anyway, here they are – another ten days of joyful moments from my little world.  I don’t usually have a favourite because all of my happy moments fill me with smiles, but I have to be honest and admit that Day 117 definitely tops the rest this time 🙂

Day 111: This one brought home the Class Award this week for using a really confident voice whilst practising for the class assembly. She was so proud of herself, bless her.

Day 112: Mimi got to wear her brand new football boots for the very first time today. She was so excited! I love how she lights up inside when she’s doing something she loves like football

Day 113: Slow Sunday mornings and a cuddle for the eldest from the littlest 🙂

Day 114: Chatting with this one on the way to school about moving up into Year 6 (her last year of primary school!) in September and what High School might be like. She was full of questions and her eyes were bright with excitement and curiosity.

Day 115: Lola with the sunflower she planted as a seed back in April! (Since I took this photo it has quite literally grown another foot – it’s much taller than the fence now!)

Day 116: I watched this one in her class assembly today all about the seaside. She was one of the narrators and she was brilliant – her eyes sought ours in the audience, she was full of smiles and she spoke really clearly, as did the rest of her class 🙂

Day 117: Finding little notes like this 🙂

Day 118: We went to Ikea yesterday and bought a couple of things for the house. The girls were very pleased with the boxes they came in!

Day 119: Baking chocolate chip banana cake with my littlest 🙂

Day 120: A sunny Sunday adventure 🙂

Gorgeous photos and what a fantastic project idea to have a photo a day. I know that a blogger did this as a linky a few years ago. It will be so lovely to look back on xx

Oh I didn’t know there was already a linky up and running. Hmm maybe I’ll rethink then as I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes. I love doing the project and quite often find myself looking back over all the photos remembering everything 🙂

Such a lovely idea to take a photo a day. Do you make a time lapse with them after? xx

That’s a brilliant idea! I did try making a slideshow a year or so ago but couldn’t quite figure it out (I’m not very technical!) I think I’ll have another try though as it would be such a lovely thing to be able to watch back again over and over.

  • Isn’t it funny how all kids love a big cardboard box?!! It’s great that they get to use their imagination, who needs expensive toys? This is such a great project, I love following your captures xx
