I shot my third family session this weekend with a good friend of mine, Sarah, and her awesome daughter Georgia.
Sarah and I originally met via Netmums ‘meet-a-mum’ initiative when my eldest was six months old and Georgia just three months older. Our girls are now ten years old and neither of us can quite believe where that time has gone.
We hadn’t seen each other this year at all, but Sarah is one of the kinds of friends where it doesn’t matter in the slightest because we easily pick up where we left off last time and it feels more like a couple of weeks rather than almost twelve months. So we walked and nattered and caught up on each other’s considerable amounts of news (in between me capturing shots) whilst Georgia explored. She had us both in fits of laughter at her antics and the faces she pulled. She’s so full of energy and absolutely hysterical – her feisty spirit and natural spark is something I hope she never loses. I honestly haven’t laughed so much for a long time – it was a really lovely way to spend the afternoon.
The thing I love most about these images is the bond that Sarah and Georgia have with each other. I hope I’ve done it justice. This is their story…

Beautiful photos, I especially love the mother/daughter ones! Although I did have to shut my eyes when I saw those beautiful red converse near that huge muddy puddle! You are a natural at capturing moments xx

Thank you so much for your lovely words Hannah – capturing ‘moments’ is exactly what I strive to do, so that really means a lot 🙂 Also, apparently Converse can be washed in the washing machine?!
