Review #1: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

This is my first book review on Mummy’s blog. I’ve been waiting for ages to get this book and was really excited when I got it. I really enjoy the Harry Potter books as I love magic and adventure. I pre-ordered this book from Waterstones and am really sad that it’s the last in the Harry Potter series. Waterstones also hosted a party on Saturday the 31st July (Harry’s birthday!), but sadly I couldn’t get to go as we’d just got back from holiday.

TITLE: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

BY: Based on the story by J. K. Rowling. Play by Jack Thorne and John Tiffany.

BLURB: The eighth story. Nineteen years later.

WHY I LIKE/DON’T LIKE IT: I like that it has lots of action, which a story MUST have. It also has lots of cliff-hangers and surprising moments. It was imaginative, dramatic, and extremely exciting. It had suspense, and places where I had to do some guesswork.

RECOMMENDATIONS: I recommend it for 8+. It’s also for people who like time-travelling and don’t mind frightening. It helps if you’ve read one or more of the Harry Potter books.

RATING: 10/10

PLACES TO BUY: I got my copy from Waterstones in town.

Now that you’ve read my review, why don’t you try it?

This is me with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

That is a mighty review, should I get a copy for the Beach Haven? Well done for a really good blog. Maria

You should definitely get a copy for the Beach Haven, Maria. Maybe you should get two copies! One for adults, one for kids, so no one keeps it for their-self!

I love your review Ella. It really makes me want to read this book! How long before some young girl is writing a review about a book that you wrote?
