2024 has been an incredibly challenging year. It's

2024 has been an incredibly challenging year. It's been a year of unravelling all the stories I've told myself; unlearning all the things I once thought were true; and unbecoming all the versions of me that I used to be. It's an ongoing process - I still feel untethered.
.
Showing up for this project // for myself // for these self portraits throughout this year (even though I haven't quite managed all 26), has been an exercise that has helped to ground me. I've been able to see myself from all different perspectives. They remind me of who I am.
.
I shot these in a short burst of unexpected light that emerged one winter morning when the rest of the house was still sleeping. They feel somehow representative of where I am right now.

Creating this photobook was an absolute labour of love - many tears were shed over multiple evenings in the weeks leading up to her birthday. I trawled through literally thousands of images from when she was a newborn up until now. So many memories, so many stories, so many emotions... I hope it's something she'll keep forever ❤️

Someone turned 18 last weekend! 🥳 . EIGHTEEN!

Someone turned 18 last weekend! 🥳
.
EIGHTEEN! My heart can't take it and honestly I'm more than a little bit incredulous that she's now officially an adult. I swear she was still a toddler just five minutes ago. People aren't kidding when they tell you that if you blink you'll miss it; that the days are long but the years are short; and that your kids are piece of your heart walking around outside of your body - every single cliche is true.

This was her reaction at being given tickets to see @gracieabrams perform live next year 🥰
.
She's my firstborn, the one who made me a Mum, and I couldn't be more proud of who she's becoming. Watching her grow into the person that she is - kindhearted, thoughtful, generous, brave, smart, honest, hardworking, loyal and so much more - has been (and still is) an absolute privilege. I'm so grateful for everything. @ellalouise_2006 - love you more than you will ever know ❤️ 🫶
