They're not necessarily my personal favourite photographs from the year, but I love them all anyway.

E moving to uni; birthday celebrations; all the girls together; a special sunrise; travel (albeit retrospective shots from Barcelona rather than where we actually adventured to this year - Wales!); magic light; and a little furry friend who temporarily stole our hearts over the summer!

I'm so immensely grateful for these moments - for ALL of the moments - and I'm also grateful to all of you who follow along as I share them. Thank you for all the likes, comments, shares, saves, messages, support, encouragement and love ❤️

She celebrated her actual birthday with her friends and flatmates at uni - the first time I've ever not been with her on the day - so we made sure we did belated birthday celebrations when she got home for the holidays 🥳🎈🎉🎁
.
It still hasn't really sunk in that I have a 19 year old daughter. It's such a cliche, but I really do feel like I blinked and missed it. Also, I'm still only eighteen in my head (definitely not 42 🙈) so the maths really doesn't work...
.
@_ellalouise_2006 we are all so enormously proud of you for navigating the transition to university in the way that you have. You astonish me on a daily basis with your inner spark, your resilience, your intelligence, your kindness, and your loyalty. Keep on being you - you were the one who made me a mama and I feel so lucky to get to see who you're becoming. Love you more than you will ever know ❤️

I'm reflecting on 2025 and the word that comes to

I'm reflecting on 2025 and the word that comes to mind is 'challenging'. There have been so many changes - for all of us - over the last twelve months, and whilst on the outside things have probably looked quite 'normal', on the inside and behind the scenes it's felt like the complete opposite.
.
I've done my absolute best to hold steady while the waves rocked the boat. To keep looking for the light in the dark moments. To BE the light in other people's dark moments.
.
There have been a lot of tears and an immeasurable amount of heartbreak. And there has also been a lot of laughter and infinite love.
.
Grief and hope, endings and beginnings, growth and protection. Craving safety and having a desire to step out of my comfort zone. Sadness and gratitude. Looking forwards and remembering the past. It all exists simultaneously.
.
I'm the same AND different. I've learnt a lot. I'm still learning. I'm beginning to pay attention to my inner compass more (and I'm getting better at not confusing it with inner fear). As hard as it's been, I realise now that it was necessary - all of it. Because sometimes it's not until later, looking back, that you realise how all the dots join up and the moments connect.

No one knows what direction 2026 might take - a lot can change in a year. Whatever the coming days, weeks and months hold, I'm here for it. I've had countless reminders that life is short and that you never know what's around the corner, so I want to be all-in for every single moment.

• Meeting a tiny, fluffy Pomeranian dog tucked under the arm of his human in a coffee shop. The dog's name? Jean-Claude 😂
• Our annual visit to @gatehouse_theatre to watch the pantomime. Best one yet! 🎭
• Chocolate orange. Enough said. 🍫🍊
• L singing her heart out to @freyaskye in the car on the way to school 🎶
• Exchanging rear-view mirror smiles with M 🥰
