I am ridiculously proud of this one, who performed

I am ridiculously proud of this one, who performed in the school musical production of Sister Act this week after months of intense rehearsals.
.
She played two very different roles - a cop and a nun - and had lines to speak, an American accent to master, songs to sing, dances to learn and multiple fast-paced costume changes to navigate.
.
She worked SO hard, as did everyone else involved in the show, and it was an outstanding success on all three nights. I laughed, I cried, I clapped so hard that my hands hurt, and I loved every second of the entire performance each time I watched it.
.
Needless to say, she's now utterly exhausted and enjoyed a well-deserved weekend of resting. There were tears galore on closing night...she's made new friends and core memories that will hopefully last a lifetime.

How many tote bags is too many tote bags...? (Asking on behalf of three teenage daughters 😏). I've lost count of the number of tote bags that exist in this house. I had to document this one actually being hung up neatly instead of being left in a crumpled heap on the floor!

✨️ F I F T E E N ✨️

Lola turned 15 last week - the last of a stretch of winter birthday celebrations on either side of Christmas. She went bowling with her friends, we had fish & chips for dinner as a family, and I took her to see Wicked: The Musical in London's West End as a surprise.
.
Watching her light up inside as we watched the show was priceless. Seeing her reactions to the gifts she was given by everyone who loves her was magic. She was grateful for everything.
.
And I'm grateful for her - she has the biggest heart of anyone I know; she loves fiercely; and she is resilient, loyal and kind. She wants to work as a primary school teacher when she's older and honestly I think she'd be wonderful at it.
.
Happy birthday beautiful - the joy you bring is infinite ❤️

My 'top nine' from 2024... each of the girls on th

My 'top nine' from 2024... each of the girls on their own and all together; milestones including birthdays, prom and uni offers; a self portrait; and some travel both here in the UK and further afield. A good mix.

They're not my personal favourite images from the year, but they're certainly memorable moments that I'm very happy I documented.
.
2024 has been an extraordinarily challenging year, in many ways and for many reasons. I've survived. And I'm stepping into 2025 feeling a whole jumble of emotions. Whatever it brings, and whoever I become, I'm ready.
.
Thank you to every single one of you who follows, likes, comments, saves, shares and connects with me on here in other ways. It might be 'just' an app for some, but for me it's a community full of kindness, a space for friendship, and a huge source of inspiration. Wishing all of you a peaceful close to 2024, and a happy and healthy beginning to 2025.
