The first thing we do whenever we arrive in a new-to-us place is to head down to the nearest body of water we can find.
.
This little public garden on the promenade right next to the beach at Rhos On Sea was so pretty. I loved the spinning sculptures in particular. One depicted the phases of the moon, one showed birds soaring in flight and one was a shoal of fish swimming.

Somehow we're already a quarter of the way through

Somehow we're already a quarter of the way through July. I'm a little confused as to how this happened as I'm pretty sure it was still May last week?
.
Anyway, I took the girls away to Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 for a few days to celebrate the end of their exams, and, as always happens when I dare to take a little bit of time off work, I have barely even stopped to breathe since we got back.
.
It's the first time we've ever visited and they've all asked to go back again next year (despite the unexpected trip to A&E on our final night 😳 - don't worry, everyone is now fine) so I'm calling it a win.

She had her final A-Level exam on Friday afternoon, and is now done with college and compulsory education forever.
.
The last two years have gone ridiculously fast and I'm so proud of who she's become. Her confidence has grown, she's worked incredibly hard in all of her subjects, and she's challenged herself with many, many things.
.
What next? Just the small matter of Results Day in August and then watching her fly the nest when she heads off to uni in September... 😳😭🫶
