York was fun! It's such a gorgeous city - we both

York was fun! It's such a gorgeous city - we both loved it there and definitely need to go back because there was so much more we wanted to see and do.
.
Our weekend/overnight uni open day trips are now finished for the time being (I think, although there may be more in the Autumn and we still have a few more day trips to go too) and it's been an absolute blast travelling with this one and getting to spend quality time with her.
.
We've walked our socks off, spent a ridiculous amount of time on trains and explored many different cities over the last few months, and she now has a potential list of her top three unis to apply to...

It's been an intense couple of months for this one: turning sixteen 🎉; getting through her GCSE exams 📚; finishing school 🎓; a taster day experience at college 📝; and Year 11 Prom 💃 as the icing on the cake. Now for the loooooong wait for Results Day at the end of August, before a whole new chapter starts in September.

So incredibly proud of you kiddo, for everything you already are and all the ways you're still becoming even more 'you'.

One second a day, every day, in June...

June has been insanely busy and very intense. I've been up and down the length of the country, visited four different cities and spent over 20 hours on trains in the last thirty days.

And it's all been 100% worth it for the memories made, the time spent with people who matter and the beautiful things I've seen.

I LOVE a photobooth. Found this one in @snooperdparadisebrighton and promptly fell in love with it. I sadly didn't have any coins on me to drag Ella in for a silly photo so I guess we're just going to have to go back again for another visit one day.

Ella and I are travelling the length and breadth o

Ella and I are travelling the length and breadth of the UK this summer, visiting various universities as she tries to decide where she might like to study her degree in History once she finishes college next year.
.
So far we've been to Edinburgh, Birmingham, Dublin, Exeter and Brighton. We still have York, Manchester, Southampton, Lancaster, Warwick, Keele, Leeds and Nottingham to go!
.
This was taken in Rougemont Gardens in Exeter, which happens to be the last place in England that women were tried and hanged for witchcraft (an area of interest for Ella). Exeter is a gorgeous city and we really liked it there. So far it's in second place on her list...

This one's 16th birthday fell right in the middle

This one's 16th birthday fell right in the middle of her GCSEs but we celebrated anyway. And now, her exams are finally finished; she's done with school for good; and she starts a new adventure at college in September.
