It feels like a long time since my last Project Happy post – we’ve been away on holiday to our favourite place in Cornwall and come home again since then!
It’s been a really lovely second half of the Easter holidays and exactly what we all needed – fresh air, lots of walks by the sea, time together, time to relax and time to switch off from work and school. There have been so many joyful moments over the last ten days that it’s been hard to pick just one moment to share.
A full write-up of our trip will be coming soon and in the meantime, here’s a taste of what we got up to:
Day 31: I love it when she picks me daisies 🙂
Day 32: Waiting for her friends to arrive – she has been so excited to have her friends round to play, bless her.
Day 33: These two chatting and laughing together on the sofa. They argue regularly and love each other fiercely so catching them at a moment where they’re getting on was lovely.
Day 34: Arriving in Bude for a week-long break. It was pouring with rain when we got there and then cleared to this gorgeous weather in the evening.
Day 35: An afternoon spent exploring St. Nectan’s Glen
Day 36: We visited Clovelly and weren’t really sure what to expect. Needless to say we loved it there!
Day 37: A walk along the clifftops to see Hawker’s Hut, the smallest National Trust property in the UK
Day 38: A scoot along Bude canal, and dinner out at our favourite restaurant to celebrate my Mum’s birthday
Day 39: A quiet day after a late night last night = walking along the beach and pootling round the shops in town
Day 40: An impromptu visit to Port Isaac – the clifftop views were pretty spectacular
