These last two weeks have felt weirdly never-ending, like the Easter holidays aren’t actually getting any closer. We’re looking forward to two weeks of fun together and keeping everything crossed that the weather plays nicely so we can get outdoors as much as possible in between having time at home with friends round.
There has been plenty to celebrate recently – words can’t describe just how proud I am of my girls, simply for being who they are and doing their best at what they love to do with courage, perseverance and joy.
Here are my happy moments from the last ten days (and I still can’t quite believe we’re already a quarter of the way though the year!):
Day 11: First yoga class for a month and a giggle at Luna who will literally go to sleep anywhere and everywhere, including Mimi’s schoolbag
Day 12: She also loves to climb. We walked into the kitchen for breakfast and found this!
Day 13: Today I found out that my best friend delivered her baby girl safely AND Mimi got the ‘Star of the Week’ certificate at football
Day 14: We spent a happy couple of hours going through the girls memory boxes from when they were babies. They love listening to stories about themselves and I love telling them.
Day 15: Ella and Mimi went on a school trip to the Cadbury World chocolate factory today. This is them with (some of) their stash. I think it’s safe to say they had a good day!
Day 16: This one ran her socks off in another cross country competition today – 16th out of 100 girls!
Day 17: A second round of blood tests for this one today and she took it all in her stride as per usual.
Day 18: Three fantastic school reports for these girls – I’m so proud of them 🙂
Day 19: We got invited to a special awards assembly at school today, to see this one presented with a certificate and trophy. She works so hard at school and deserves every bit of recognition that she gets for it.
Day 20: A surprise delivery of this beautiful bouquet of flowers as a thank you from a friend.
